After long time I am writing again.This time its not facebook, not php not any of the technical stuff but its just a simple transformation of Window Vista/7 into Mac OS (in just look wise).

To do their are lots of question in mind:

From where I get the application?

How much I need to pay?

How to select the best application?

Me too go through it and found that there lots of application available to do that

First of all I found this site “http://windows7themes.net/windows-7-mac-theme.html” which provide the application for either the cost of $3.99 or a small survey but the survey is not available for Indian Users.

So finally I got the best and safe solution and freeware for it from Softonic Website which is Snow Transformation Pack

Last two night I was struggling in finding the solution of  my question “How to get friend list in array on facebook fan page tab application?”

Finally find the solution last night..Just follow the following

Enable a ajax call on first click on facebook fanpage application at the tab then in the post page of ajax
run this code combination of PHP and FQL

After my last article “How to add Faceboook Application in the tab of fanpage?”  I got lots of email asking about that they are not able to see the option I have listed to do, just because the application is not installable to fan page or user profile page

This is basically to developer to make the facebook application installable to facebook fanpage or user profile page.To do this here is short tutorial for “How to make your facebook application installable to Facebook fan page or user profile page?”

Step 1:Login to the page http://www.facebook.com/developers and click on the drop down menu “more” triangle to your facebook application then click on “Edit Setting“.

Step 2:Now you will see the Edit Setting page of your facebook application,there click on “Facebook Intergration” in left side menu.

Step 3:After clicking the right side of the page changes and at the bottom you will see the option for “Profile Tabs“, here give the path of a folder with index file whose content you want to  fetch at the fan page or user profile page.Also check the boxes where you want your facebook application installable.

Well after doing all the above you will be able to make your facebook application installble to facebook fan page or user profile page.

Facebook fan page is the latest demand of every companies and communities.They want their own tab for their symbol of uniqueness thats why many creates facebook application that are installable to fanpages.Even lots of other popular facebook application too provide their application to be  installable on the tab.

But still not a proper tutorial is available on the internet about How to add Faceboook Application in the tab of fanpage? Here I am trying to do this.Hope it will help.

Note: Here I am taking example of adding the application TabPoll.Click on image to view in full size.

Step 1: Go to facebook application’s page like TabPoll.

Step 2: Click on the Add to my Page option just below the logo of facebook application.

Step 3: On doing so a dialog box will load asking you to select your page where you want to add the facebook application click on desired page and then close the dialog box.

Step 4: Go to your selectected fan page.Click on the ‘+’  or “>>” symbol and if application is available  there then click on it facebook application will be added to the tab of your fan page.

Step 5: The other option is click on the Edit Page just below the logo of your fan page.

Step 6: The setting page of your fanpage will be open up there and then click on the Application Setting of  Tabpoll(or Facebook Application of your choice)

where you will see Tab: Available(Add) click on Add. The tab of facebook application will be added to your fan page.

Step 7: This step is just verification step.Go to your fan page and check for the application added there or not.

MySQL and PHP:Last night I was playing with MySql and PHP to show the fields of table of a given MySql using PHP.I found one command called DESCRIBE in MySql library.I found it little bit uneasy to use due to the sytax of DESCRIBE and MySql documentation and all.Then I  solve the problem by using the following code not using DESCRIBE but using simple MySql query.

The connection parameters are hard coded in this tutorial but of course you can make a small html form to get the values dynamically from the user.

I am writing this artile by assuming that you know “How to setup facebook application“.I will use the terms from the last tutorial.

STEP 1:Sign in to your facebook account and go to url

http://www.facebook.com/developers .

Step 2:Click on the “Testing Application” (your application name) in “My Applications”  side menu

Step 3:Now in the bottom left you will find “Download the Client Library”  click and download it from here and save to ypur PC.

Step 4:Open your ftp account of your webspace and go to the folder testingapp (this folder is set as root folder in previous tutorial)

Step 5:Upload the client library folder in it.Don’t forget to extract if zipped.

Step 6:Create a file with name index.php in  the testingapp folder and write down the following code:

How to setup facebook application :

Before setting the application you should full the following requirement:

• Webspace where you can host your facebook application
• A publicly accessible url to access the webspace

Step 1:Login to your facebook account and go to url http://www.facebook.com/developers/ and allow the access.

Step 2:Click on Set-Up-New-Application

Step 3:There the page will ask you for the facebook application name  & facebook policy,agree the policy and set a name for your facebook application as shown.

Step 4:(optional)Now choose an icon and logo from your computer and write a brief description for your facebook application.

Step 5:After doing so click on canvas tab in the left side on Edit [your application name] page and write down the unique Canvas Page Url then put the publicly accessible url of your webspace in Canvas Callback Url. And click on FBML in rendor method.

Remember:Don’t forget to click on FBML in rendor method.

How to hide a folder completely? Looks strange because there are thousands of article/software on this topic but still I am emphasizing on the word “completely”. By completely I mean that nobody except you can see the folder and its content. Even no body know that folder is there . You can challenge your mate to find the folder from that place I assure you, that you will win. Now let’s see how to do that with an example.

Example:Hide the folder “Twitter” in D drive in location D:/projects/blog/.

I have divided the work in steps as follows:

Step 1:Open the run window by pressing keys (Windows +R)

Step 2:Type cmd and press enter in the window as shown (cmd is the command to open command prompt)

When command prompt opens you will see the black background window as

Step 3:Type D: and press enter (Note:We are moving  ahead as per example above)

Step 4:Type command cd projects\blog and then press enter(cd is the command to change directory)

Step 5:Now the main command to hide the folder>>type attrib twitter +h +s +r and then press enter

Here,

• attrib stands for attribute of the folder
• h stands for hidden
• s stands for system file
• r stands for read only

Step 6:Now you can see that the folder “twitter”  is invisible from the given location.

To open the invisible folder twitter type address in the adress bar e.g. D:/projects/blog/twitter

How to unhide the same folder?

As mentioned above follow the step from 1 to 4 in Step 5 just replace the +ve sign with -ve

After doing so you can check that folder will be unhidden.

There is lots of confusion in everyone’s mind about the customization of twitter profile. Actually it is very easy to customize it. Let us talk about changing the twitter profile background/pattern.

Background or Pattern in twitter is just a image which is displayed in the background of your twitter profile, as your desktop bacground.

Now there are three choices to do that as

1. Select from various pattern available in twitter.
2. Make a image of yours as pattern in twitter.
3. Download a image from internet and then make it as your pattern.

In all the above three cases you have to do same things by following these steps

Step 1:Login to your twitter account and click on “Setting”. Setting link is located in the top-right corner of your home page as:

Step 2:Select the “Design” option over located in the right corner of the tab.

Step 3:Now here you have an option either you select from the pattern available or click on “Change Background Link“

Step 4:Now browse your computer then upload the your desired image (can be .GIF , .JPG , .PNG) and click on “Save Changes”

Here you seen that “tile background” option is checked,I strongly recommend you to make it checked.It is because your image size is fixed but the user opening your twitter profile on various types of browser and different size of screen so make it compatible you should check the option in advance.

Step 5:It is not a working step its the process of seeing your selection.After you click on “save changes” you will be redirected to the same page showing that you have done with it.

Note:The message will automatically disappear in moment but thats not an issue.
